Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has sharply criticized media personality Nedu Wazobia following his recent remarks about her public apology on The Honest Bunch Podcast. In an Instagram post on June 13, 2024, Jegede shared a picture of Nedu and labeled him as narcissistic and toxic.<\/p>\n

“I woke up to see Nedu\u2019s post reacting to my appearance on the podcast, particularly my apology to May Edochie and women in general. Narcissistic and toxic men like him cannot grasp the importance of apologizing when others feel hurt by your actions, regardless of whether you believe you are right or wrong,” Jegede wrote.<\/p>\n

Jegede accused Nedu of enjoying the promotion of negative narratives against women and of disliking women and their success. “Small-minded people like you rejoice when women attack each other or are trampled upon. Check the history of your podcast; it is filled with content targeting women\u2019s self-esteem,” she added. Jegede also criticized Nedu for neglecting to promote her movie, A Father\u2019s Love<\/em>, during her appearance on his show.<\/p>\n

“You are so evil that you didn\u2019t even promote A Father\u2019s Love<\/em>, the movie I came to discuss on your show. Instead, you were all over my WhatsApp, telling me how much you like me, and now you join the mob and chase clout with your petty posts. I was raised to apologize if I was wrong and to those who felt hurt by my actions,” Jegede continued.<\/p>\n

This dispute arose after Jegede appeared on The Honest Bunch Podcast and issued a public apology to fellow actress May Edochie and women in general for her previous statements. Jegede had initially commented that she saw no issue with actor Yul Edochie taking Judy Austin as a second wife to May. She later apologized, stating that she had not meant to trivialize May’s troubles but was highlighting the prominence of polygamy in Nigerian culture.<\/p>\n
