Daniel Amos, a member of the House of Representatives, has sponsored breast and cervical cancer screening for over 2,000 women and girls in his Jema\u2019a\/Sanga federal constituency in Kaduna. Amos, who represents the constituency under the All Progressives Congress, aims to improve the health and well-being of his constituents through this initiative.<\/p>\n
The screening event kicked off with a road walk in Kafanchan, designed to raise awareness about breast and cervical cancer. During the event, Amos emphasized his commitment to the health of his constituents, particularly women and girls.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am dedicated to addressing health issues that affect the members of my constituency, especially women and girls,\u201d Amos stated. \u201cGood health is crucial because one needs to be healthy to do anything for oneself or others.\u201d<\/p>\n
Amos urged women not to view cancer as a death sentence, noting that early-detected cases that have not reached an advanced stage can be treated effectively.<\/p>\n
Rahap Elisha, the leader of the screening team, highlighted the importance of the campaign. \u201cThe essence of this campaign is to raise awareness and encourage younger girls to get screened early, as early detection is key to survival,\u201d Elisha explained.<\/p>\n
