A State High Court sitting at Miller Road has granted an order for substituted service on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, and others in a case involving the alleged sale of government properties worth billions of naira.<\/p>\n

Justice Aminu Adamu Aliyu, the presiding judge, granted the order following intense legal arguments between the counsels of the applicants and defendants, including Ganduje, his wife Hafsat Ganduje, and other defendants such as Lamash Properties.<\/p>\n

The case was transferred from Kano High Court 4 at Audu Bako to Court 7 at Miller Road by the State Chief Judge, Justice Dije Abdu Aboki. It involves Ganduje, his wife, son, and five others, who face charges on eight counts bordering on alleged bribery, diversion, and misappropriation of funds amounting to billions of naira.<\/p>\n

In the criminal suit filed against the respondents, the Kano State Government has prepared 15 witnesses to testify against them.<\/p>\n

During today\u2019s proceedings, the new presiding judge, Justice Aminu Adamu Aliyu, granted the request for substituted service made by the prosecution counsel, Barrister Zaharadeen Kofar Mata. The order mandates that Ganduje, his wife, and the other respondents should be served through publication in national dailies.<\/p>\n
