Senator Elisha Abbo has issued an apology regarding his previous allegation that the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, was involved in a plot to remove him through the Court of Appeal.<\/p>\n

In an interview on Arise Television on Tuesday, Abbo expressed his remorse and clarified his stance. He said, “I have to say this with all sense of humility and responsibility that the press release we issued yesterday was premature and based on the available information at our disposal yesterday.”<\/p>\n

Abbo continued, “As of today, we have discovered a lot of things, and yesterday night I had a discussion with the Senate president, and I am convinced that he is not involved.”<\/p>\n

He emphasized his conviction by adding, “I swear by my mother’s grave that I’m not involved; I don’t even know that you’re in court.”<\/p>\n

This turnaround follows Abbo’s previous allegations made at his residence in Abuja on Monday, shortly after the Court of Appeal nullified his election to the Senate.
