The 31-year-old shared that she formulated this plan after spending five years single before entering a relationship with producer and songwriter Benny Blanco last year.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview with Time Magazine, Gomez opened up about her struggles with loneliness during her period of being single and how she eventually came to terms with it. &#8220;I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it,&#8221; she stated. &#8220;A lot of people are afraid of being alone, and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gomez emphasized that her current relationship with Blanco happened unexpectedly, indicating that she was dating him since December 2023.
