The police charged Adebisi with assault and homicide.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate Kikelomo Adebayo did not take Adebisi\u2019s plea, citing the court&#8217;s lack of jurisdiction over the case. She ordered that Adebisi be held at the Ile-Ife correctional center pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions. The case was adjourned until June 21 for mention.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Inspector Sunday Osanyintuyi stated that Adebisi committed the offence on April 15, 2024, at around 4:00 p.m. in the Ita-Apata area of Ile-Ife, where he allegedly beat Grace Omisakin to death.
