Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has extended his congratulations to Muhammad Sanusi II on his reinstatement as the 14th Emir of Kano. Governor Fubara expressed his hopes for a successful and fruitful reign, bringing progress and prosperity to the people of Kano State.<\/p>\n
In a statement released on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara highlighted his excitement over Sanusi’s reinstatement, which coincides with Sanusi\u2019s visit to Rivers State to support the state’s economic development efforts.<\/p>\n
The governor noted that the reinstatement by the Kano State Government underscores that Sanusi’s dethronement on March 9, 2020, did not reflect the wishes and aspirations of the Kano people. He described the dethronement as an unjust act against millions who believed in Sanusi’s leadership.<\/p>\n
Fubara commended the Kano State Government for addressing the people’s yearnings and correcting past wrongs. He urged the residents of Kano to fully support the Emir to ensure his successful reign.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Governor Fubara called on Emir Muhammad Sanusi II, the spiritual leader of the Tijanniyah Sufi order in Nigeria, to lead with love, wisdom, and courage, aiming to bring lasting peace, justice, equity, and fairness to Kano.<\/p>\n
