Nollywood actor, Timini Egbuson was the highest-grossing Nigerian actor in 2023 according to new data from the film distribution and production company, FilmOne.<\/p>\n

The actors on the list were featured in some of the highest-grossing movies in 2023. See who top the list below:<\/p>\n

10. Charles Okafor (\u20a6126 million)<\/p>\n

\nOkafor\u2019s career in the entertainment industry spans over three decades. He made his acting debut in 1991 in the Nollywood film, Domitilla. He gained prominence in the industry with his role in the hit film, End of the Wicked, which was released in 1999. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Okafor\u2019s performance earned him widespread praise. Okafor only appeared in one Nollywood film Ada Omo Daddy in 2023.<\/p>\n

Okanlawon was previously listed as the highest-grossing Nollywood actor of 2020 and 2021. He featured in five Nollywood films, Love in a Pandemic, Domitillla, Different Strokes, Osato, and Maniac, in 2023.<\/p>\n

\nAyo Makun is a comedian, and filmmaker, who directed and acted in the Nigerian sitcom, AY’s Crib. He made his first big screen film debut in 2014 with the film, 30 Days in Atlanta. A.Y was featured in only two Nollywood films, Merry Men 3, and Almajiri, in 2023.<\/p>\n

6. Emeka Ike (\u20a6144 million)<\/p>\n

\nThe Nollywood actor and filmmaker rose to prominence after starring in the film, Deadly Affair (1995). He has since been featured in multiple Nollywood films over the years including, Stigma, Secret Act, The Snake Girl, and Not Man Enough.
