Peter Obi says his visit to the Labour Party secretariat in Abuja was reconciliatory, not to endorse any group\u2019s interest in the crisis-ridden party.<\/p>\n
This was explained in a statement by his spokesperson, Yunusa Tanko, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson said Mr Obi had repeatedly maintained that his interest was to carry everybody into one strong\u00a0family and not to endorse anyone\u2019s interest.<\/p>\n
He said the visit was part of consultations in search of peace in the party.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn line with this, he also met with the political arm of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) on Wednesday in continuation of his search for peace in the party.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the meeting, he made the point that the party needed to reconcile all positions in a peaceful atmosphere to have a united house that should be all-inclusive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
