Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George claimed he has a cordial relationship with Super Eagles players.<\/p>\n
Finidi reportedly had a disagreement with the duo of Ademola Lookman and Sadiq Umar over playing time during the last international break when he was in temporary charge of the Super Eagles.<\/p>\n
The 53-year-old insisted that he get along well with the country\u2019s top stars.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have been with the team for 20 months, I have always had a cordial relationship with all the players as an assistant coach,\u201d Finidi said at his unveiling ceremony.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am still the same person even as head coach now, only that the title has changed.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be no controversy regarding relationships with the players.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese are professional players and we have to give them what they\u2019re used to in Europe; you don\u2019t need to slap anybody for not doing your job.\u201d<\/p>\n
Finidi said he now needs support of soccer loving Nigerians to succeed.<\/p>\n
