Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas), has emphasized the importance of increased collaboration between public and private sector investors to achieve Nigeria’s energy goals.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the official unveiling of the Gazettes on National Energy Policy and National Energy Master Plan by the Energy Commission of Nigeria in Abuja, the Minister highlighted that creating a Nigeria with access to affordable and unlimited energy cannot be solely the responsibility of the government.<\/p>\n

“In order to achieve our energy goals, I implore our respected partners in the public and private sectors to collaborate with one another. To face the difficulties that lie ahead, let\u2019s leverage the power of cooperation, creativity, and technology,” said Minister Ekpo.<\/p>\n

Describing the journey to a sustainable energy future as a marathon and not a sprint, he emphasized the need for unwavering resolve, innovative leadership, and dedication.<\/p>\n

Minister Ekpo underscored the critical role of energy in promoting social development, accelerating economic progress, and protecting the environment. He stressed the long-term impact of current choices on future generations, highlighting the potential to create a Nigeria where everyone has access to affordable and abundant energy through collective effort.<\/p>\n

Ms. Olu Verheijen, Special Adviser to the President on Energy, unveiled the Gazettes, stating that the documents would be presented to the public for further consultation. The Gazettes outline the direction of government policies and list the various approaches necessary to accomplish the country\u2019s energy goals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
