Hunters from the Ashav community in Benue State’s Buruku Local Government Area made a heartbreaking discovery: a newborn buried alive in the forest.<\/p>\n
Terna, a resident of the locality, recounted the astonishing incident, which unfolded in the Ashav Kusuv community. He revealed that the hunters, while traversing the forest, unearthed the infant and brought her back to safety.<\/p>\n
“Some hunters on Saturday found a baby girl and said that they found her buried alive in a forest. The baby is currently being taken care of at Ashav Kusuv community,” Terna shared.<\/p>\n
Confirming the extraordinary rescue, Chairman Iorkyaan Agber affirmed that the hunters indeed uncovered the infant in the forest. However, authorities are now delving into the perplexing circumstances surrounding the abandonment of the child.<\/p>\n
“Some hunters indeed found a baby in the forest, but we are investigating to know who went and dropped a baby in the forest and the reason for doing that,” Agber stated.<\/p>\n
