The Havel Corporate Concept, in partnership with ioSafe Nigeria, has announced ambitious initiatives aimed at transforming Abuja into a smart city, setting the stage for innovation and efficiency in urban living.<\/p>\n
Dr. Ahmed Badanga, CEO of the organization, disclosed these plans during a press conference held in Abuja on Friday, outlining two major projects: the Abuja Smart City Project and the Abuja Residents Smart Card Project.<\/p>\n
The Abuja Smart City Project is a comprehensive endeavor focused on enhancing various aspects of city life, including governance, transportation, tourism, health, business, and residential areas. Dr. Badanga emphasized a collaborative Public-Private Partnership approach, leveraging existing infrastructure and technology to ensure alignment with local needs and circumstances.<\/p>\n
The project will introduce the “Abuja Smartcity App,” facilitating real-time access to services and transactions through the integration of internet of things, artificial intelligence, and customized mobile applications. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 11, the initiative aims to foster inclusivity, safety, resilience, and sustainability in Abuja’s urban landscape. Implementation will occur in phases, utilizing local content and structures to support customer service systems.<\/p>\n
Complementing the smart city vision, the Abuja Residents Smart Card Project will establish a digital biometric database, enabling residents to access government, security, financial, and transportation services efficiently. Dr. Badanga stressed the importance of promoting digital literacy among residents to maximize the benefits of these initiatives.<\/p>\n
