In Kano, the State Police Command apprehended Sadiq Zubairu for the murder of his friend, Bello Adam, following the latter’s inability to secure a job after paying Zubairu N3 million.<\/p>\n
Zubairu had pledged to assist Adam, his former colleague at the Kano Electricity Distribution Company, in securing employment at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).<\/p>\n
According to a family source cited by security analyst Zagazola Makama, tweeting as @ZagazOlaMakama, Zubairu, also known as @sadiqsolar, misled Adam about securing employment with the FIRS. As weeks passed without any job offer or refund, pressure mounted on Zubairu from Adam, ultimately leading to the tragic event.<\/p>\n
Zubairu invited Adam to his residence where he brutally assaulted him with sticks and sharp objects, resulting in Adam’s demise.<\/p>\n
On May 5, 2024, Adam’s brother reported his disappearance to the police, who later discovered Adam’s lifeless body near Bechi Village. Zubairu was apprehended the following day at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n
During initial investigations, Zubairu confessed to conspiring with two others to lure Adam to his house and subsequently murdering him. Zubairu attributed the crime to his inability to repay the N3 million he had fraudulently obtained from Adam under the guise of securing employment.<\/p>\n
