The State Commander of the FRSC, Corps Commander Patrick Ikaba, emphasized the risks associated with carrying additional fuel in vehicles and cautioned that violators would face repercussions in line with relevant traffic regulations.<\/p>\n

Addressing drivers, vehicle owners, and animal merchants at the Cattle Market in Bauchi, Ikaba underscored the importance of road safety and highlighted the alarming rate of fatal crashes nationwide, urging a shift in attitudes towards life to prevent avoidable accidents.<\/p>\n

Ikaba particularly flagged night travel as a significant concern, advising against it due to the heightened difficulty in receiving assistance in the event of a crash. He cited a recent fatal accident in Enugu State involving a bus from Bauchi State, attributing the likely cause to driver fatigue from overnight travel.<\/p>\n

The FRSC Sector Commander stressed that all FRSC sectors are empowered to apprehend traffic offenders and enforce penalties accordingly.<\/p>\n
