{"id":29522,"date":"2024-04-30T09:13:44","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T09:13:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=29522"},"modified":"2024-04-30T09:13:44","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T09:13:44","slug":"tragedy-as-uniabuja-female-student-dies-in-car-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/04\/30\/tragedy-as-uniabuja-female-student-dies-in-car-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Tragedy As UniAbuja Female Student Dies In Car Accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A female student at the university of abuja ,Murjanatu Zubairu ,has tragically passed away in a car accident on the Lugbe &#8211;\u00a0 Airport road in abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased was a 400-level student in the Department of Arts Education within the Faculty of Education.<\/p>\n<p>Her uncle, Zubairu Yewuti, who is a former vice chairman of Kwali Area Council of the FCT, confirmed her death to journalists.<\/p>\n<p>He shared that the family received the heartbreaking news from Murjanatu\u2019s family, who informed them that the accident occurred last Friday.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">According to him, the family of the deceased had organized plans to collect the body of the deceased student from the morgue in order to conduct a respectful burial.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Yewuti noted that the incident took place on Friday at 8:34 p.m. and involved a Toyota Sharon bus near the Dunamis Church along Airport Road.<\/p>\n<p>He said the bus, travelling at high speed, unexpectedly caught fire, resulting in the immediate death of four individuals, including Zubairu.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Yewuti said the girl\u2019s parents contacted him first to find out if he knew of her whereabouts.
