Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, issued a dire warning on Friday regarding an imminent disaster stemming from climatic problems in various Nigerian states.<\/p>\n
He cautioned that Nigeria is on the verge of experiencing earth-shaking and catastrophic flooding in several states, including Lagos, Abuja, Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Kogi, Edo, Adamawa, and Niger.<\/p>\n
In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele emphasized that failure to take preventive measures could compel state governments to evacuate citizens to safer areas in other states.<\/p>\n
Ayodele stated: “There is an impending danger arising from climatic conditions in certain Nigerian states. I foresee some states experiencing earthquakes due to climatic conditions. Nigeria has been grappling with flooding, but another nationwide flood is looming, and its impact will be particularly severe in states such as Lagos, Abuja, Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Kogi, Edo, Adamawa, and Niger.”<\/p>\n
He urged governments to urgently address the situation to avert a humanitarian crisis of immense proportions. Ayodele underscored the potential health risks associated with the impending disaster, warning of threats to the lives of animals, plants, and humans.<\/p>\n
“The consequences will be severe, with crops unable to thrive and a surge in health challenges. This climatic condition will lead to a surge in health complications, early onset of menopause, widespread waterborne diseases, and night blindness,” he cautioned.<\/p>\n
