Kola Ologbondiyan, former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic (PDP), has urged Yahaya Bello, former governor of Kogi state, to \u201ccome out of hiding and submit himself to the law\u201d.<\/p>\n
Bello who has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundering, said through his counsel that his failure to appear before a federal high court in Abuja\u00a0is due to fear of arrest by the anti-graft agency.<\/p>\n
Ologbondiyan who made this call on Wednesday, said Bello should listen to Nigerians who have asked him to submit himself to the law.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is left with only one choice and that is, he should go and face the law,\u201d Ologbondiyan said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether he is guilty or innocent, it is the law that will decide that. All these shenanigans by him is needless.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy advice for him is that he should submit himself to the law. He was a chief law officer of Kogi state for eight years, how then can he be running away from that law?<\/p>\n
\u201cHe should listen to the wise counsel of Nigerians who have said that he should go and face the law.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, the ex-governor\u2019s media team said Bello is not running from the law but wants due process to be followed.<\/p>\n
