{"id":28935,"date":"2024-04-25T11:53:10","date_gmt":"2024-04-25T11:53:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=28935"},"modified":"2024-04-25T11:53:10","modified_gmt":"2024-04-25T11:53:10","slug":"death-of-4-year-old-pupil-sparks-controversy-in-another-abuja-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/04\/25\/death-of-4-year-old-pupil-sparks-controversy-in-another-abuja-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Death Of 4-Year-Old Pupil Sparks Controversy In Another Abuja School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A four-year-old boy, Miguel Ovoke, a pupil of BrickHall Schools in Abuja, has died under controversial circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the pupil died during the school\u2019s feeding hours, but was rushed from his school located in Cadastral Zone B11, Kaura in Abuja on Wednesday, to Excel Specialist Hospital, in the nation\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n<div id=\"pw_21639_instream_1\" class=\"adsbyvli\" data-ad-slot=\"pw_21639\" data-id=\"pw_21639_instream_1\">\n<p>The death certificate dated April 24, 2024, issued by Excel Specialist Hospital, Abuja, revealed that the four-year-old boy passed away, after he was brought in by his teachers around 11 am in an unconscious state.<\/p>\n<p>Ovoke was taken to the hospital \u201con account of aspiration on meat while feeding at school\u201d according to the medical report signed by Dr Akinwande Ajayi, on behalf of the Medical Director.<\/p>\n<p>The medical team of the hospital said upon examination, that the boy\u2019s pupils were fixed and dilated, with a nonreactive response to light.<\/p>\n<p>His peripheral pulses were said to be \u201cimpalpable, blood pressure was unrecordable, and there was no cardiopulmonary activity or respiratory excursions, silent chest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report indicated that all efforts of the medical team to revive the boy failed, giving a final report that he was \u201cBrought in Dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report revealed that the parents of the deceased, suspecting foul play, have contacted a human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, to handle the case on their behalf.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"adsbyvli\" data-ad-slot=\"pw_20013\" data-id=\"pw_20013_1\">\n<article class=\"body article__body text-justify\">Meanwhile, the management team of the BrickHall School has not issued any official statement concerning the matter as of the time of filing this report.The development comes days after Lead British International School dominated the news over bullying.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1670932839695-0\"><\/div>\n<\/article>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A four-year-old boy, Miguel Ovoke, a pupil of BrickHall Schools in Abuja, has died under controversial circumstances.
