According to a press statement by FAAN’s director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah, the incident occurred at 5:29 am on Thursday morning. The statement, released to the press, indicated that Airport Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS) swiftly responded to the situation, managing to bring the fire under control by 06:41 am. Efforts to ventilate the smoke from the building were underway at the time of the report.<\/p>\n
Initial assessments suggest that the fire may have originated from sparks emanating from an electrical unit. However, a thorough investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
