The fire reportedly broke out at the E54 Passenger Air Bridge within the domestic wing of the Airport.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press statement by FAAN&#8217;s director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah, the incident occurred at 5:29 am on Thursday morning. The statement, released to the press, indicated that Airport Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS) swiftly responded to the situation, managing to bring the fire under control by 06:41 am. Efforts to ventilate the smoke from the building were underway at the time of the report.<\/p>\n<p>Initial assessments suggest that the fire may have originated from sparks emanating from an electrical unit. However, a thorough investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident. Orah emphasized the importance of ascertaining the root cause of the fire to prevent future occurrences.<\/p>\n<p>As a precautionary measure, all flight operations at Terminal 1 of MMIA have been redirected to the D Wing.
