In a statement by Sulaiman Bala Idris, the spokesperson for the Zamfara Governor, it was revealed that the Deputy Secretary-General commended the governors for their commitment to finding lasting solutions to the region’s problems. She noted their strong desire for change and emphasized the importance of their presence at the meeting.<\/p>\n
Governor Lawal emphasized the critical role of technology in enhancing security, advocating for a coordinated effort to leverage advanced tools such as artificial intelligence, biometric identification systems, and surveillance cameras. He highlighted the impact of insecurity on agriculture, stressing the need to transition from traditional farming methods to advanced agricultural practices facilitated by technology.<\/p>\n
“We are facing common challenges, with insecurity being the major concern. This situation has hampered agricultural activities, and we need assistance to modernize our farming practices,” Governor Lawal stated. He declared a state of emergency in education and health, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention to address these critical issues and secure a better future for the people of Zamfara.<\/p>\n
