In response to the tragic incident where a woman was forcibly pushed out of a moving vehicle by suspected criminals, the FCT Administration (FCTA) has taken swift action by setting up an investigative panel in Abuja to unravel the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Despite the efforts of concerned citizens who rushed the victim to Maitama District Hospital, she tragically did not receive the medical assistance she needed and passed away.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, the Mandate Secretary of the Health and Environment Services Secretariat at the FCTA, expressed deep concern over the incident. She outlined that the investigative panel comprises representatives from the Nigerian Police and various stakeholders, all united in their commitment to ensuring justice is served.<\/p>\n

During discussions with the hospital’s management, it was revealed that the criminals had forcibly ejected Ms. Greatness Olorunfemi from the moving vehicle on September 26th. A compassionate bystander promptly transported her to the hospital at 8:35 p.m., but regrettably, her life could not be saved due to alleged medical negligence.<\/p>\n

The Medical Director, Dr. Imuentinyan Igbinovia, contested the allegation, asserting that the victim had passed away before her arrival at the hospital.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In pursuit of truth and justice, the secretary has called for an autopsy and the initiation of a Coroner’s Inquest in addition to the ongoing investigation. This comprehensive approach aims to ascertain the precise cause and circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Ms. Olorunfemi.<\/p>\n

Dr. Fasawe extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and urged the public to exercise vigilance and caution while moving about in the FCT. She emphasized the need for patience and discretion as the investigations progress.<\/p>\n

Assuring continuous communication with relevant stakeholders, including the family, the Police, and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, among others, the secretary is committed to ensuring a thorough and just investigation.<\/p>\n
