In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, Engineer Saleh Alhassan, the group\u2019s Secretary, voiced deep concern over Bodejo\u2019s detention, emphasizing its adverse effects on the journey towards fostering harmony, understanding, and reconciliation among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups. Alhassan highlighted the invaluable contributions and wisdom Bodejo could offer to constructive dialogues and the resolution of existing tensions in the country, underscoring the urgency of his release.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis release is not merely a matter of justice; it signifies a crucial stride towards cultivating an atmosphere of reconciliation, tolerance, and mutual respect among all communities,\u201d explained Alhassan.<\/p>\n
The detention of Bodejo traces back to his arrest on January 23 at the Miyetti Allah office in Karu LGA of Nasarawa State, in connection with the unveiling of a vigilante group in the state.
