Sam Empowerment Foundation (SEF), a non-governmental organization, demonstrated the spirit of Sallah by donating food items to 5000 residents of Orozo community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). During a Sallah party organized by the foundation, Program Director Mrs. Kiema Ogunlana emphasized the importance of prioritizing citizens’ welfare, urging government intervention.<\/p>\n
The initiative, spearheaded by Founder\/President Dr. (Mrs.) Aisha Achimugu (OFR), aimed to improve the quality of life for Nigerians, especially vulnerable children and women. Throughout Ramadan, SEF distributed foodstuffs to approximately 500 indigent persons, focusing on orphans and vulnerable children, and provided daily meals for over 5000 individuals across Karu, Guzape, and Garki village in the FCT.<\/p>\n
Ogunlana highlighted SEF’s commitment to alleviating hunger and suffering, emphasizing the importance of demonstrating love and kindness during the festive season. She emphasized the foundation’s broader intervention projects in health, education, empowerment, and psychosocial development, which have brought hope and happiness to many Nigerians.<\/p>\n
In light of ongoing economic and security challenges, Ogunlana urged Nigerian leaders and financially stable individuals to prioritize humanity over political and tribal biases. Chief Imam Yoruba of Orozo Central Mosque, Adepoju Abdulmajeed Busayo, expressed gratitude for SEF’s gesture and called on the government and other stakeholders to emulate their example in alleviating societal hardships.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Joy Ruth, a parent in Orozo Community, praised Dr. Mrs. Aisha Achimugu for the kind gesture and urged other organizations to assist the needy in society.
