The impeachment follows the submission of a report by a seven-man panel led by Justice S.A. Omonua, which investigated allegations against the deputy governor.<\/p>\n<p>The panel found that while the accusation of perjury was not proven beyond reasonable doubt, the allegation of disclosure of government official documents was substantiated against Deputy Governor Shaibu.<\/p>\n<p>During the plenary session, attended by 20 members, 18 voted in favor of the panel&#8217;s findings, while one member dissented.
