Retired Commodore Jerry Omodara, Special Adviser on Security to Governor Usman Ododo, confirmed the incident on Friday and condemned the senseless loss of innocent lives. Governor Ododo has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the matter, emphasizing the need for justice.<\/p>\n
Omodara disclosed that security personnel have been deployed to maintain calm in the area following the tragic event. He also highlighted the extensive destruction of property, including houses, vehicles, and crops, underscoring the severity of the attack.<\/p>\n
Appealing for calm, Omodara reassured residents of Agojeju-Odo and neighboring communities that government and security agencies are actively addressing the situation and working towards restoring peace.<\/p>\n
In further confirmation, Kogi State Police spokesman, SP Williams Ovye-Aya, assured that security forces are vigilant in the affected community to prevent further violence.
