This issue arose due to a system glitch caused by the reclassification of certain Band A customers to Band B, as they were not receiving the required 20 hours of electricity supply daily.<\/p>\n<p>In response to this, AEDC has assured affected customers that efforts are underway to identify and refund all excess charges incurred. The management of the power distribution company made this known through a public notice posted on its official channels.<\/p>\n<p>The glitch occurred after the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) approved an upward review of the tariff payable by Band A customers from N68\/kWh to N225\/kWh.
