The seven-member panel, led by retired Justice S. A. Omonuwa, was appointed by Chief Judge Justice Daniel Okungbowa following a resolution passed by the state House of Assembly initiating the impeachment process against Shaibu.<\/p>\n<p>Representing Shaibu at the panel on Wednesday was Prof. Oladoyin Awoyale (SAN), while Mr. Joe Ohiafi, Deputy Clerk, Legal, represented the House of Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>The dispute between Shaibu and Governor Godwin Obaseki reportedly arose when Shaibu expressed his intention to contest for Edo governor this year.
