{"id":25623,"date":"2024-04-03T09:38:10","date_gmt":"2024-04-03T09:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=25623"},"modified":"2024-04-03T09:38:10","modified_gmt":"2024-04-03T09:38:10","slug":"natasha-akpoti-distributes-7200-bags-of-rice-beans-to-kogi-constituents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/04\/03\/natasha-akpoti-distributes-7200-bags-of-rice-beans-to-kogi-constituents\/","title":{"rendered":"Natasha Akpoti Distributes 7,200 bags of rice, beans to Kogi Constituents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduoghan (PDP\/Kogi) has distributed six truck loads of 7,200 bags of grains to her Kogi Central constituents.<\/p>\n<p>The gesture was to cushion the effects of the economic hardship ravaging the country.<\/p>\n<p>The grains, including rice, beans, and millet, were distributed to the 57 wards of the five local government areas of the senatorial district.<\/p>\n<p>The five benefiting LGAs are Okene, Adavi, Okehi, Ajaokuta, and Ogorimagongo.<\/p>\n<p>The beneficiaries include Muslim and Christian communities, drivers\u2019 unions, Okada\/Keke unions, mechanics unions, pensioners, Hausa\/Fulani, and Yoruba communities.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the crowd at the distribution centre, Mrs Akpoti-Uduoghan said the good gesture was for all her constituents, irrespective of party affiliations, to alleviate the prevailing economic hardship in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is just my way of giving back to the people who voted me into office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s my resolve to continue to do my best to bring the very best dividends of democracy to you, my constituents,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduoghan (PDP\/Kogi) has distributed six truck loads of 7,200 bags of grains to her Kogi Central constituents.
