The residents accuse Paul of unauthorized demolition activities targeting structures near River Park Estate, located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).<\/p>\n<p>In a communiqu\u00e9 released following an emergency meeting held yesterday, Tafa Fayemi, leading the residents, appealed to President Bola Tinubu and law enforcement agencies to intervene and restrain Paul and his backers to prevent any potential lawlessness.<\/p>\n<p>The statement expressed, &#8220;We wish to draw the attention of fellow Nigerians, especially the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, to our predicament in our neighbourhood in Lugbe, where an unrestricted demolition exercise has been going on by representatives of the owners of River Park Estate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Detailing the situation further, the residents highlighted recent demolition activities occurring on March 8, 2024, and voiced concerns about the imminent repetition of such actions. They emphasized their resolve to resist any attempts to demolish structures constructed through their hard-earned resources.<\/p>\n<p>Asserting their rights as law-abiding citizens and taxpayers, the residents emphasized their refusal to succumb to intimidation tactics wielded by individuals they perceive as abusing state authority for personal gains.<\/p>\n<p>Efforts to seek redress have involved communication with relevant security agencies such as the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
