The Nigeria Police Force is profoundly saddened by the devastating loss of six (6) courageous officers in Delta State, who exhibited exceptional valour in the face of adversity, while confirming the arrests of 5 suspects.<\/p>\n
These brave officers tragically fell victim to a cowardly ambush by armed assailants while undertaking a mission to investigate the disappearance and rescue of three of their colleagues in the Ohoro forest, Delta State, while six (6) others are currently missing-in-action.<\/p>\n
They express heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the fallen officers during this period of profound sorrow. They also assured of their firm stand in solidarity with them, offering earnest prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed souls.<\/p>\n
The \u00a0Inspector General of Police has, in the wake of this ugly development, \u00a0ordered for the immediate payment of entitlements to families of the deceased and assured of police leadership\u2019s commitment to responsibility, and building of robust welfare for its personnels.<\/p>\n
