This initiative aims to leverage media platforms to raise awareness and mobilize citizens to report incidents of vandalism, thereby safeguarding vital public infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Representing the minister at the meeting, Permanent Secretary Oloruntola Olufemi emphasized the crucial role that the media can play in combating vandalism. He urged BON to align with the ministry in this crucial endeavor.<\/p>\n<p>Alkali underscored President Bola Ahmed Tinubu&#8217;s directive to commence all public events with the national pledge, aiming to foster a deeper sense of citizenship and commitment to nationhood among Nigerians. He called upon the media to aid in redirecting public attention towards a spirit of dedication to nation-building.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to critics of the recent memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on the Port Harcourt-Calabar-Enugu-Abuja standard rail project, the minister affirmed his unwavering commitment and passion for his role. He expressed openness to constructive feedback and the best advice to ensure the success of transportation projects.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, during the meeting, Akiotu, representing BON, reiterated the organization&#8217;s role as the umbrella body for all broadcast media outfits in Nigeria.
