{"id":24402,"date":"2024-03-22T13:30:01","date_gmt":"2024-03-22T13:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=24402"},"modified":"2024-03-22T13:30:01","modified_gmt":"2024-03-22T13:30:01","slug":"police-arrest-3-suspects-in-lagos-kidnapping-hoax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/03\/22\/police-arrest-3-suspects-in-lagos-kidnapping-hoax\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Arrest 3 Suspects in Lagos Kidnapping Hoax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>By Gabriella Ogbu<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Lagos State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough by apprehending three individuals, including a makeup artist, for their alleged involvement in orchestrating the purported kidnapping of Agnes Ogbeh.<\/p>\n<p>According to Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, the apprehended suspects are Anthony Chinakwe (24), Margret Itodo (25), and Esther Anyanwu (24), alongside the purported victim, Agnes Ogbeh (23).<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released on Friday, March 22, the police outlined the circumstances surrounding the case, stating that Agnes Ogbeh, a resident of Akure, purportedly traveled to Lagos on March 19, 2024, where she was allegedly kidnapped.<\/p>\n<p>The statement further detailed that a distressing video showing Agnes and another individual bound, gagged, and surrounded by blood was sent to her family in Akure, with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of Five Million Naira for her release.<\/p>\n<p>Promptly responding to the complaint, detectives from the Lagos State Police Command launched a discreet and thorough investigation.
