Abdulhakeem Adeeyo, the owner of a Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer-Based Test Centre, has accused JAMB and its officials of corruption, alleging that his centre was unfairly denied accreditation despite meeting all requirements.<\/p>\n
Adeeyo claimed to have invested over N40 million in establishing his CBT centre, Aatrix Innovations Ltd, but was denied accreditation for four years by Osun State JAMB staff and headquarters. He alleged that despite passing all tests and meeting every requirement, some officials criticized him for not awarding the contract for setting up the centre to them, claiming it was a common practice to do so.<\/p>\n
However, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Benjamin Fabian, dismissed Abdulhakeem’s allegations, stating that the board prioritizes standards and cannot compromise them.<\/p>\n
Fabian refuted Abdulhakeem’s claims, suggesting that Abdulhakeem lacked credibility and integrity, which are essential requirements for operating a JAMB CBT centre. He emphasized that JAMB seeks quality centres and does not yield to pressure from individuals who may have ulterior motives.
