Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have made a significant breakthrough, recovering seven packs of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), along with arms and ammunition, from a suspected armed robbery and cult gang hideout located at Ogwu waterside in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt metropolis.<\/p>\n
During the raid on the hideout, law enforcement agents seized three AK-47 rifles, one assault rifle, six AK-47 magazines, one Beretta pistol, as well as 274 rounds of 7.6mm live ammunition, 105 rounds of 6.55 live ammunition, and nine rounds of .9mm ammunition.<\/p>\n
Grace Iringe-Koko, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, disclosed in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Tuesday that the recovery operation followed the arrest of a 25-year-old suspected cultist, Samuel Nwokoma. Nwokoma, a member of the Blood Star cult group, was apprehended by operatives of the C4i Strike Force in collaboration with members of the Diobu Vigilante group.<\/p>\n
