In response to escalating security concerns, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has issued a series of Executive Orders aimed at addressing various factors contributing to the state’s security challenges.<\/p>\n
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the Zamfara Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the Executive Orders include banning the sale of unlabelled bread and the use of tinted glass in vehicles.<\/p>\n
These orders come in the wake of recent attacks in communities across the state, particularly Zurmi, Shinkafi, Kaura Namoda, and Talata Mafara, as well as the resurgence of banditry and kidnapping activities.<\/p>\n
Executive Order No. 02, 2024, mandates all bakery production companies and enterprises to label their bread with the full address and particulars of their production factory. Additionally, the sale of unlabelled and packaged bread in sacks is prohibited.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, petroleum filling stations are now restricted from selling more than fifty (50) litres of petrol to vehicles at a time, with sales limited to the hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
To further enhance security measures, transportation and sale of bread are also restricted within the capital of every local government, with specific areas identified for Gusau.<\/p>\n
Executive Order No. 04, 2024, imposes a ban on the use of tinted glass by all vehicle owners in Zamfara State. Vehicle owners are also prohibited from covering their license plate numbers while driving and must possess their vehicle particulars in compliance with relevant traffic laws.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
