The appointees, comprising nine who were re-appointed for a second term and 11 newly appointed individuals, took their oaths in three batches before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa.<\/p>\n<p>Having been confirmed by the Senate on February 21, 2023, after the adoption of the screening report, the commissioners sworn in include Emmanuel Eke (Abia), Chidi Ezeoke (Anambra), Alex Ukam (Cross River), Blessyn Brume-Maguha (Delta), and Jeremiah Nwankwegu (Ebonyi). Others are Sa\u2019adatu Garba (Kaduna), Aminu Tsanyawa (Kano), Yori Afolabi (Kogi), Mary Afan (Plateau), and Ogiri Henry (Rivers). Returning commissioners are Isa Buratai (Borno), Tony Alyejina (Edo), Clifford Zirra (Adamawa), Ejike Ezeh (Enugu), Abubakar Damburam (Gombe), Uba Nnabue (Imo), and Sani Sale (Taraba).<\/p>\n<p>During the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Tinubu, a minute of silence was observed in honor of the late former Minister of State for Health, Gabriel Aduku, who passed away at the age of 80.
