Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the President, has said that some of the initiatives of President Bola Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda are already yielding fruits and will soon reach all communities in the country.<\/p>\n
During the inauguration of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Abuja on Monday, the First lady stated this, adding that the initiatives would benefit all Nigerians, especially women.<\/p>\n
The Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs in the Federal Capital Territory, Mrs. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, who represented Mrs Tinubu said that \u201cthe economic situation of the country is already improving\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu right now is offloading a number of initiatives bringing succour and providing humanitarian services to the elderly, women, communities and the girl-child,.\u201d
\nWomen were urged by the First lady to always live as shining examples and remain united to advance the course of women in the country.<\/p>\n
The First lady said that women must see themselves as healers and play their role in healing the land.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is important for women to work together and we must see ourselves playing the role of healing our nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cDo not be distracted by the current challenges but focus on the assignment of promoting equity, equal rights and righteousness.<\/p>\n
\u201cWomen are light and must always stand as light and shine whether in the church or in the mosque, we must stand as women of faith,\u201d she said.
\nDr Elizabeth Akinadewo, the National Chairperson of WOWICAN, said that her administration would focus on women\u2019s empowerment.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlthough the demand of the office is tasking, I am happy to take it up to improve lives of women and families.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will give succour to those who are oppressed, help them out of their misery, give voice to the voiceless and empower the women.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are out to spur women to develop necessary skills so they can be independent and sustain themselves.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have been giving women little token of money to work with and that will continue under my administration,\u201d she said.
\nThe National Director for Education, Youth and Women Development of CAN, Rev. Emmanuel Ozumba, said women are nation builders and imperative to national development.<\/p>\n
