{"id":22240,"date":"2024-03-07T11:29:39","date_gmt":"2024-03-07T11:29:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=22240"},"modified":"2024-03-07T11:29:39","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T11:29:39","slug":"260000-candidates-write-mock-utme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/03\/07\/260000-candidates-write-mock-utme\/","title":{"rendered":"260,000 Candidates Write Mock UTME"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over 260,000 candidates have written this year\u2019s Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Mock UTME) across 793 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Registrar\/Chief Executive of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyede, made this known after monitoring the mock examination on Thursday in some of the centres in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>Oloyede, who expressed delight over the seamless conduct of the exercise nationwide, said the exam was to test the preparedness for the main UTME, which will commence on Friday, 19th April, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that the exam body also successfully conducted recruitment examination for Nigerian Police on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Oloyede noted that few incidents were recorded in the Mock UTME in about four centres which would be resolved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo far so good, we are doing mock after mock, just yesterday we conducted recruitment for the Police Service Commission throughout the country, that was a mock before today\u2019s mock and that was in 411 centres across the country, and today we are conducting our own mock in 793 centres across the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over 260,000 candidates have written this year\u2019s Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Mock UTME) across 793 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country.
