The delay resulted in a partial blackout in the Red Chamber, with President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, eventually starting the plenary after power was reinstated. Apologizing for the outage and the chamber&#8217;s heat, Akpabio mentioned that some offices still faced power issues, and efforts were underway to resolve the situation.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that in February, Abuja Electricity Distribution PLC had threatened to disconnect electricity supply to 86 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) due to a cumulative debt of N47.1 billion.
