The demonstrators gathered at the Aroma Roundabout and marched towards the Government House gate. Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) members, led by Prof. Kingsley Ubaoji, also joined the protest.<\/p>\n<p>NLC chairman Nwafor emphasized the unbearable economic situation for workers and citizens, urging the Federal Government to review salaries to a minimum of N1.2 million as a potential solution. He called on the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, to reinstate the N12,000 wage award, which has been halted for several months.<\/p>\n<p>ASUU chairman Ubaoji urged Governor Soludo to address the poor conditions at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, emphasizing the deteriorating infrastructure.
