This move aims to automate all physical planning activities in the state, ushering in a new era of innovation and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Represented by Dr. Olajide Babatunde, the Special Adviser to the Governor on e-GIS and Urban Development, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted that these tools will simplify the process of building plans and enhance the ease of doing business in Lagos. He emphasized that citizens can now access quality services from their homes, such as obtaining Certified True Copies of approvals and applying for building permits online through LASPIC.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Sanwo-Olu also addressed the issue of unapproved buildings in the state, noting that LASPIC and the Physical Planning and Automation Department have documented all buildings with approvals. He emphasized the importance of land documentation, especially for applying for building approvals, and announced plans to grant amnesty to buildings without approvals.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, highlighted that the automation system aims to make processes easier for citizens, urging personnel not to compromise for the system&#8217;s success. He emphasized that people can now interact with the ministry electronically from their homes, simplifying the process of applying for approvals.<\/p>\n<p>TPL Musa Okuniyi, Director of the Physical Planning and Automation Department, encouraged Lagos residents to embrace technological advancements for the betterment of the state.
