Concerned supporters of President Bola Tinubu, organized under the North-South Progressives Alliance (NOSPA), have communicated their desire for tangible actions over mere promises during the current economic challenges.<\/p>\n
In an open letter titled “We Need More Than Promises. The Time For Action Is Now,” NOSPA conveyed its struggles to defend Tinubu’s policies as they fail to yield the expected results, causing disillusionment among the populace.<\/p>\n
Signed by NOSPA convener Alwan Hassan and six zonal coordinators, the letter expressed concern about the increasing poverty, hunger, and insecurity faced by millions of Nigerians, contributing to a sense of national discord.<\/p>\n
Highlighting the soaring prices of basic necessities like food items, the letter emphasized the urgent need for intervention. It pointed out the unpredictability of market prices, making essential commodities unaffordable for ordinary citizens.<\/p>\n
The letter urged President Tinubu to revisit past government plans, including the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) of the Buhari administration, and implement effective strategies.
