Abdullahi, who had initially watched the match at a sports center in the Sango area, began feeling unwell.<\/p>\n<p>Sources close to the deceased revealed that he complained of dizziness and decided to return home, not realizing that his blood pressure had escalated. Upon reaching home, he collapsed and was swiftly taken to a private hospital in Sango. Unfortunately, he passed away before receiving medical attention at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. Abdullahi was laid to rest on Thursday morning in accordance with Islamic rites.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Saedat Aliyu, the university&#8217;s Director of Information, confirmed Abdullahi&#8217;s demise, although the exact cause of death is yet to be determined by the university&#8217;s management.<\/p>\n<p>The university released a statement announcing the sad news and detailing the burial arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>In a parallel incident, former federal lawmaker Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, from Delta State, also lost his life while watching the Eagles&#8217; match. Sources revealed that Dr. Ojougboh suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed when South Africa scored a penalty during the match.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Adamawa State, identified as Samuel from Kaduna State, reportedly passed away just before the final kick that secured Nigeria&#8217;s victory in the game.
