During the inauguration ceremony, President Tinubu underscored the importance of providing affordable and high-quality housing for citizens, which is crucial for fostering sustainable urban development.<\/p>\n
The pilot housing project in Karsana, Abuja, comprises 3,112 housing units, designed to meet various housing needs and enhance the city’s overall housing landscape.<\/p>\n
Officials have outlined that the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates program will operate as a cross-subsidy initiative, with 80% of the housing units sold at commercial rates and the remaining 20% offered at concessional rates to low- and medium-income Nigerians associated with the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress.<\/p>\n
The concept behind this arrangement is to utilize profits generated from the commercial units to subsidize housing for low- and medium-income earners.<\/p>\n
Under the Renewed Cities and Estate Program, various ownership avenues are available to Nigerians to enhance housing affordability.<\/p>\n
