{"id":18526,"date":"2024-02-06T07:05:44","date_gmt":"2024-02-06T07:05:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/?p=18526"},"modified":"2024-02-06T07:05:44","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T07:05:44","slug":"fct-civil-service-commission-will-commence-operation-soon-wike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abujacityjournal.com\/livenews\/2024\/02\/06\/fct-civil-service-commission-will-commence-operation-soon-wike\/","title":{"rendered":"FCT Civil Service Commission will commence operation soon-Wike"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, says the FCT Civil Service Commission will commence operation soon.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Wike disclosed this on Monday, while inaugurating a five-kilometre dual carriageway in Kuje, Kuje Area Council of the FCT<br \/>\nThe minister said the development would be the first in the history of the territory in line with the provision of the FCT Civil Service Commission, CSC, Law, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Wike had in October 2023 announced President Bola Tinubu\u2019s approval for the establishment of CSC for the FCT.<\/p>\n<p>The minister had explained that the civil service commission, when established, would allow career progression for civil servants in the FCT Administration to become permanent secretaries.<\/p>\n<p>NAN reports that currently, career progression in the FCT civil service terminates at the directorship level.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Wike said: \u201cVery soon the FCT Civil Service Commission will be announced.
