Rescue efforts have been underway, with 30 survivors recovered from the wreckage, according to NSEMA. However, Hussaine noted that many of these survivors were in a state of shock and unable to communicate when they reached the affected communities on Monday. The boat accident, which occurred on Sunday, involved a vessel carrying over 100 passengers in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State. The capsizing of the boat resulted in the tragic loss of 30 lives, including numerous women and children.<\/p>\n
Ibrahim revealed that a significant portion of the passengers on board the ill-fated boat were women who were on their way to farm.<\/p>\n
