As the curtains closed on the 66th Grammy Awards held at Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, United States, Nigerians are grappling with disappointment as none of the nominated Nigerian artists clinched an award.<\/p>\n

Renowned artists such as Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, and Ayra Starr were nominated across various categories, but unfortunately, victory eluded them all. \nGrammy award is practically w\u00a4rthless, the organization l\u00a4st their credibility years back. Tyla’s terrib!e song (Water) being recognized as the “Best African Music Performance” is proof enough. Just like the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the Grammys doesn’t define the greatness of an artiste, & people d\u00a4n’t bag noms or win a Grammy based on merit; So Davido & Burna losing all their nominations shouldn’t be a big deal. Grammys nowadays are a g!ft for “industry plants”. No offense.<\/p>\n
