Hadiza Bala Usman, the special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on policy and coordination, announced on Tuesday that the much-anticipated citizens’ tracker, designed to enable Nigerians to monitor government projects, is set to be relaunched in the near future. During her address, Bala Usman emphasized President Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring the active participation of Nigerians in the verification of the government’s delivery programs and projects. The relaunch of the citizens’ tracker is a significant step towards achieving this goal. Bala Usman elaborated on the functionality of the tracker, explaining that it will provide Nigerians across the country with the means to track and monitor the list of priority programs and projects of the government, along with their status. Importantly, citizens will have the ability to report any discrepancies or issues they observe.

To enhance accountability and transparency, the reports submitted through the citizens’ tracker will be accessible to the central delivery and coordination unit. Furthermore, President Tinubu himself will have a dedicated dashboard where he can actively monitor the progress of implementation of his priority programs.

Bala Usman underscored President Tinubu’s determination to make Nigeria work for its citizens and emphasized that this commitment goes beyond rhetoric. President Tinubu is resolute in providing Nigerians with a voice and empowering them to actively participate in the governance of their country.
