In a statement released by Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, the operation targeted a syndicate moving along the Kwiga-Kampamin Doka axis. This same group was responsible for the January 27 ambush at Kwanan Mutuwa. The precision strike, carried out after tracking the terrorists to a convergence point, resulted in the successful elimination of several armed individuals.<\/p>\n
The Birnin Gwari region in Kaduna has been grappling with insecurity, with frequent bandit attacks leading to loss of lives and abductions.<\/p>\n
In a separate incident, security forces in Katsina State rescued 35 kidnap victims from Dumburu forest. These victims, abducted from Tashar Nagulle and Nahuta communities in Batsari Local Government Area, were greeted and congratulated by Governor Dikko Radda at the Government House, Katsina. Each victim received N100,000 in financial support from the governor to aid their post-rescue recovery.<\/p>\n
